Istria is enjoying an abundance of contemporary culture and cultural heritage.

There are numerous festivals with several theme’s . Motovun has its Film Festival , Grozjan its Jazz Festival, Porec the famous wine festival, Livada his truffle festival and great artists perform regularly in in Porec, Pula and Brijuni in a special Mediterranean setting. Slavic dance groups perform regularly in the different village in the countryside.

Cultural heritage you will find in several places like Visnjan (the old town), Pula (Roman arena and Greek Temples), Rovinj (the church and legend of St Euphemia), Beran (Frescoes), Dvigrad (Abandoned medieval city), Groznjan (Artists Village) , Porec (Eufrasius basilica), Bruijni (Roman Villa’s) and in many other smaller adventurous towns.

And don’t forget the monthly local market in Visnjan (every last Thursday)
